The male can be classified by the cinnamon color around its eye area which easier to be seen than the female. The whole body is white, and the crest on the head is yellow. It has both small and large size.
The Sulphur-crested Cockatoo has a hometown in New Guinea Island, Tasmania, King Island, Moluccas Island, including the north and the east of Australia. This bird can be classified into 4 sub species. It is a beautiful bird. It used to seek for the food on the ground and in a large troop. It lives in a grass field, sparse forest and the agricultural area.
The food in the nature of this bird is the plant seed, plant bud, plant leaf, vegetable, and fruit. It digs the tree root and other part of the plant under the ground to eat.
It lives and builds the nest on the tree and drill into a hole. It likes to make the loud noise, play, and always raises its crest.The Sulphur-crested Cockatoo breeds and incubates the eggs during August to November. It builds the nest and incubates the eggs in the hollow of the tree. It lays 3 to 5 eggs each time and the incubation period is approximately 30 days.
